During my freshman year, I took a nutrition class, N220. During this class, I had the opportunity to talk and discuss nutrition with students from Newcastle University, located in the UK. I learned a lot about the differences and similarities between each other's eating habits. I realized that, although we were students from entirely different continents, the reasons for why we eat why we eat were still very similar.

What I liked about the project was the ease of learning new information. We had 2 guest speakers from the UK and the US talk about current nutritional concerns, and it really surprised me that the UK also deals with some of the same nutritional problems the US does. I also liked how easy it was to see responses and respond to my partners. What I didn't like about it is that some of my partners didn't even respond, so we couldn't get a conversation going. With the partners that did respond, I learned a lot about their background and valued their opinions about nutrition.
